Statement

When the newcomers arrived on our shores we greeted them humbly and acknowledged their place as guests on our land. We allowed them passage on our lakes, rivers and portage routes. At first they were curious enough about us to try to understand who we were and we, they. History shows they did not continue on that pathway and a great imbalance took place upon our lands.

Call to Action Round 2 proves once again what can happen when an understanding occurs and is actively maintained over time. What occurs is what should have and could have occurred 500 years ago had we all stopped long enough to understand one another. 

Reconciliation would just be another word.
