Biography
Jennie Clark, was born in Guelph, Ontario. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art; Clark also studied Advanced Fine Arts at Georgian College, receiving awards for printmaking and clay sculpture. Clark expresses her interest in ecology through various forms of art making. Her work is included in many private collections in Canada, United States and Great Britain. "I am inspired by the process of regeneration and the sustainability of the natural world, which are critical contemporary issues that we are drawn to contemplate.
Statement
Based on a design from the 70’s Sun melting snowflake. Barn owl/cross cultural, embodied by circle of women.
one spirit. (ancestral) and the full moon (winter)
Water - raindrops, melt, teardrops
Aurora - energy of the heavens.
Land - north at night. mystical
The project has been enlightening always, bringing empathy, friendship and understanding to the many complexities of truth and reconciliation.
