Statement

I made a drum and composed a song to start the creative process. My song connects to my daughter Jingle dancing. It is a healing dance with an old traditional beat, and brings past and future generations together.

I chose colours for their meaning and their healing teachings.

I’m still learning about my family stories, and time is running out.

As I work on not blaming myself for not knowing my language and traditions, the cycle of my despair is being broken.
