Statement

I followed Peter Adams in the process and was struck by the hands in his piece. Around the time of the transfer, I was reading Walter Isaacson’s Leonardo and was consequently thinking about his long preoccupation with the relationship between the square and the circle, and how that related to the different ways of being in the world of First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples and peoples of European origin. This also fed into my piece, as did the cycling of water between aquifers and clouds, and the relationship of sky world and aquifers to the concepts of spirit and soul.
